About Laura

Having been a stay at home mom for many years and after the youngest child went off to college, I decided to go back to work. Real estate seemed like a good fit. I had dabbled in it some years before and I always picked up the local real estate guide wherever I went, so off I went to real estate school. I began my career with another company, but I am pleased to now be associated with First Properties of the Carolinas. I have lived in Fort Mill for 17 years and my children attended the local schools. Before that, I lived in Charlotte since graduation from college. My husband and I also have property on Lake Wylie, so I know all three areas well.

Special Skills / Interests

I was born in Statesville, NC and still have family there. My husband Michael is an optometrist in Charlotte. My two daughters are Jessica, who attends Appalachian State University and Madeleine, who attends Johnson and Wales. I teach Sunday school at my church and like to camp, especially if we go as a family. Recently I have taken up trout fishing, with not much success. I also do genealogy and have taken by family lines back to the year 500 AD.
